      The African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (the Commission) is composed of eleven members who are elected by secret ballot by the Assembly of the African Union (AU) for a six-year renewable term. The Commission then elects among its members the Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson for a two-year renewable period. The African Centre for Democracy and Human Rights Studies (ACDHRS) will hold the Forum on the Participation of NGOs in the 65 th Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights and 39th African Human Rights Book Fair from the 17 th – 19 th October , at the Paradise Suites Hotel – Kololi, The Gambia.
